Walter Anderson

Walter “Walt” Anderson, 48, of Butler passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023. He was born in Greene, NY on June 16, 1975 to the late Joseph Palmer and Dixie (Heath) Young. After graduation, Walter worked as a roofer for Coy Construction, and was also a caregiver. He was known for being the life of the party and helping anyone in need. Walter like to watch WWE Wrestling and Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed sitting around campfires with his family eating smores. Walter was the beloved husband of Melinda (Hunter) Anderson for 21 years; father of Storm, Madison, and Ethan Anderson, Shaquala, Romello; brother of Dorothy (Timothy) Holt, Mindi (William) Lafey, Guretta (Ronald) Oravec, William Anderson, and John Bickford; grandfather of Janae, Riyah, Alaysha, Desiree, and Allison. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by the man that raised him, William Anderson, and his step son, Darrian. Family and friends will be received on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 4 to 5:30 PM in the SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD. BUTLER, PA 16001.
