Ruth Stivason

Ruth Stivason, 97, of East Brady passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023. She was born in Butler on August 24, 1926 to the late George and Nellie (Anthony) Gordon. Ruth drove bus for numerous schools for over 55 years until her retirement. She was known for being a strong and determined woman who was a good mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Ruth loved quilting, sewing, shopping, working outside, baking, her friends, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandson, she also loved to go bowling with husband. Ruth loved her family, friends, and neighbors, she was known to be the "neighborhood watch". She was the mother of Linda (Bill) Parise, Susie (Brent) Stivason, and William Stivason; grandmother of Devan (Greg) Cercone and Chad Parise; great grandmother of Maverick Cercone. Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband William Stivason and siblings Norman Gordon and Dorothy Dellan. Services will be held privately through SPENCER D.
