Robert Olenic Obituary

Robert James Olenic, 69, of Butler passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Butler Memorial Hospital. He was born in Butler on June 11, 1951 to the late Martin Sr. and Ann (Fedokovitz) Olenic. Robert graduated from Butler High School in 1969 and then attended Grove City College. He worked at Armco for over 23 years until his health forced him into an early retirement. Robert was a member of the St. Andrew Orthodox Church of Lyndora. He enjoyed following Pittsburgh sports teams, especially the Penguins. He was the devoted husband of Barbara (Shearer) Olenic since their marriage in 1986; devoted father of Ryan Olenic of Conway, Brendan, and Jonathan Olenic, both of Butler; brother of Doris (Robert) Rasch, Martin Olenic Jr. and William (Beverly) Olenic. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews who have fond memories of him and his beloved 1977 Corvette. As per his wishes, services and burial at North Cemetery will be held privately through the SPENCER D.
