Richard "Dood" Downing Obituary

Richard “Dood” Downing, 66, of Butler passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 20, 2021. He was born on September 7, 1954 to the late Clarence and Margaret (Walsh) Downing. Richard was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after 3 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. Richard was loved by all and will be greatly missed. He was the brother of Brenda Minto, Kathy Ostwinch, and Cris McClaine. Richard is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and his companion RaeAnn Dick. Friends received Thursday, June 24th from 5-7pm in the SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD, BUTLER, PA 16001, WWW.SPENCERDGEIBEL.COM. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Richard's family.
