Richard Jefferson Obituary

Richard S. “Dick” Jefferson, 77, of Portersville passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 19, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 16, 1944 in East Brady, PA to the late C.J. & Katherine (Erb) Jefferson. Dick served his country honorably during Vietnam as a Navy Seal, after his service he worked for International Staple for over 25 years until his retirement. He was extremely active with the Summit Twp. Sportsman Club and as a volunteer firefighter with the East Butler Station. He enjoyed car shows, hunting, and fishing, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. Above all else, Dick took enormous pride in his Native American heritage and traditions. Richard was the beloved husband of Susan (Walter) Jefferson; father of Richard R. Jefferson, Susan (Jeffrey Jr.) Pelkofer, and Kayla Jefferson; grandfather of Cassandra and Alexis, and great grandfather of Anneliese. He is also survived by his half-sister Pauline Rottman.
