Paul Smith Obituary

Paul Smith, 88, of Butler went home to Heaven surrounded by family on Saturday, November 4, 2023. He was born in Butler on September 22, 1935 to the late Kenneth and Luella (Stutz) Smith. After graduation Paul went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy. He worked until retirement at Armco in the Hot Mill as a Roller. Paul was known for being loving, kind, generous, always smiling, singing or whistling along to music, having a great sense of humor, and being a great husband, father, and grandfather. In his spare time, he loved to hunt, fish, go boating, and camping at his camp in East Brady. He was a member at the American Legion. Paul was the father of Glenda Day, Terri (Dave) Klutinoty, Susan Smith, and Douglas Smith; brother of Kay Reott and Joseph Smith; grandfather of 9; great grandfather of 22 plus 2 on the way. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Virginia Smith, daughter Sharon Smith, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. Burial was held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD. BUTLER, PA 16001. WWW.SPENCERDGEIBEL.COM. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 11, 2023 in the North Street Christian Church of Butler. Following the service, a luncheon will follow in the church.
