John David “Whitt” Whittington, 70 of Butler passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 due to cancer complications. He enjoyed music and sports, especially the Steelers. He loved his pets and treated them like children. After retiring, John began working as a custodian and worshiping at Hill United Presbyterian Church where John loved the members and called them “his church family”. He was loved and will be forever missed by his family, friends, church, co-workers, and neighbors. Along with his wife, he leaves behind three children, John (Nikki) Jr., Jeremy (Angie), and Benjamin (Laura) Whittington; step sons Doug (Kimberly) and Mike (Rachel) Dittmer; seven grandchildren; four step grandchildren, and a step great grandchild.
