Gilbert "Gil" Schantz, 51, of Butler passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020. He was born in Pittsburgh on August 24, 1969 to the late Jon and Ella Schantz. Gil enjoyed the ID Channel, camping, fishing, and anything outdoors. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Gilbert was the father of Shaun (Ashley) Schantz; brother of Cindy Pack, and grandfather of Zoey and Dominik. He is also survived by his soul mate of Rhonda Smith and his closest friends Corey, Joe, and Jared. Gil was preceded in death by his son Chad Schantz.
