Edmund Dlutowski, 85, of Butler passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. He was born in Pittsburgh on September 8, 1938 to the late Edmund Sr. and Augusta (Sieg) Dlutowski. Edmund worked at ARMCO for 27 years in the Engineering Department. He was known for being hardworking, intelligent, and having a very unique sense of humor. He loved to explore and learn, and devoted a large part of his life to archeology. Ed was a field associate for the Carnegie Museum. He was also the past president of both the Society for Pennsylvania Archeology (SPA) and Ohio Valley Chapter 22 of SPA. He was the founder of the Dirt Dragons, which focused on educating high school students about archeology. His love of archeology, ultimately led to the dedication of The Edmund Dlutowski Laboratory for Archeological Science at Slippery Rock University, where he provided his expertise to students.
