Deborah “Debbie” Peitz, 66, of Butler passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. She was born in Butler on July 17, 1956 to Margaret (Hancheck) Furka and the late Joseph Furka. Debbie graduated from Butler High School in 1975, then went on to serve her country honorably in the United States Navy. She retired from the VA Medical Center in 2016. Debbie was known for being compassionate, loving, kind, and friendly. She loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Debbie was the mother of Meghan Peitz; grandmother of Lexi and Lukas; sister of Diana (DL) McCandless, Theresa (Ted) Czyzyk, and Veronica (Don) Forcht. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 25 years, Bernie, and her siblings Cecelia (Bob) George, Joe “Butchie” Furka, and David Furka. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 5-7 PM at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD. BUTLER, PA 16001. WWW.SPENCERDGEIBEL.COM.
