Curtis “Murt” Murtland, 59, of Chicora passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 in a Pittsburgh hospital. He was born in Butler on December 28, 1961 to Lynn Stivanson and the late Darel Murtland. Curt worked most of his career in and around the oil industry. He enjoyed tinkering, playing his guitar, fishing, air brushing vehicles, drawing, but most of all spending time with his family and riding his Harleys. He was known to never answer someone by saying “yes”, he always replied with his notorious “yeah man”. He was the father of Taj Murtland and Brandon (Hannah) Murtland; brother of Kevin (Lisa) Murtland, Darin Murtland, and Laurie (Mike) Richards. He is also survived by his grandson Kyle, 2 nieces, 3 great nieces and a large and loving family. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Angela Laman. A celebration of life gathering will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 1st at the Happy Hunters Sportsman Club of Fenelton. All services entrusted to the SPENCER D.
