Chris Coffman Obituary

Chris Adam Coffman, 54, of Butler, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 25, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. He was born on April 10, 1967, in Greensburg, PA, to Linda (Shupe) Peduzzi and the late Adam Coffman. Chris graduated from Greensburg-Salem High School in 1985. He went on to pursue a degree in Management Information Systems at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1989. His extensive knowledge of computers led Chris to hold various positions as a software engineer in the Northern VA and D.C. area. He was employed by defense contractor Northrop Grumman for over 20 years. During this time, Chris successfully completed projects at Fort Belvoir, Fort Meade, the D.C. Navy Yard, and most recently, the Pentagon. Chris was a true gentleman, a gentle soul with an infectious smile who radiated love and kindness to loved ones and strangers alike. His passions included being an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pitt Panther fan, playing basketball, and singing in his church choir. Family vacations were another source of great joy for Chris. From his yearly trip to Las Vegas with his brother and cousins, to his vacation each year in Ocean City with his wife and son. Chris absolutely loved spending quality time with family. His most treasured passion of all was his family whom he loved above all else. He was a loving and devoted husband to wife Christine whom he absolutely adored. He was also a proud and loving father to their son Adam. Chris was preceded in death by his father and best buddy Adam D. Coffman. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years Christine (Dorsch) Coffman; their son Adam; his beloved mother Linda (Marty) Peduzzi of Beaver, PA; his much-loved brother Brian Coffman of Chillicothe, OH. Chris is also survived by an uncle and several cousins. Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 29th form 2-4 & 6-8 in the SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD.
