Barbara Tompkins

Barbara Tompkins, 67, of Butler was called home by God on Friday, February 12, 2021. She was born in Butler on April 1, 1953 to the late Robert and Jennie Hughes. Barb worked as a registered nurse for most of her career. She was known to be selfless and giving which helped towards her work as a nurse. Since her early childhood she was a member of Thorncreek United Methodist Church at which she taught Sunday School and helped in the nursery and kindergarten. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, eating out, and crossword puzzles. Above all else she loved to be with her granddaughter and family. She was the beloved mother of Daniel Tompkins Jr, Tommy Tompkins, and Trista (Andrew) Regrut; grandmother of Olympiada Agnes Regrut, and sister of Robert (Bonnie) Hughes Jr., Gary Hughes, Diane Hughes, and Darlene Lavery. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 48 years in February of 2020, Daniel Tompkins Sr., and her brother David Hughes Sr. All services through the SPENCER D. Masks will be mandatory.
